Figured out how to load images, this is the last of my 12 paintings done for Acrylic April.
Well life seems to have a funny way of getting in the way, I was doing really well and then I had to go up north to help my mom and dad who are finding it harder and harder to live at home on their own. I did take up my watercolor pencils and try to carry on with doing a simple flower everyday and I managed to get most of the days where I had flowers done. The last few days however we're pretty rough and I wasn't able to complete any paintings so I'm behind on my April paintings. Because I already decided not to paint a full painting every day I'm going to finish off with the last few days that I missed in April with doing some of the flower paintings. Tonight I'm working on the dog in the lavender field, I've created the background and I'm going to do my rough sketch before calling it a night. It does feel good putting my paintbrush back to canvas and I'm hoping to finish the rest of what I wanted to get done for April in May.
I am just beginning my art journey as of February of 2022.
I am so excited to see such a well laid out resource for new and experienced artists.
Hello everyone. Just a little introduction about myself. I started drawing when I was 16, pregnant (please don`t judge, lol) and bored. Found a piece of paper and a small pencil of my sister`s and drew Donald Duck in his sailor suit, that set me on a new venture drawing Disney and Warner Bro`s characters. I then eventually moved onto wanting to draw more realistic things like, animals, birds and flowers, then started to colour them with pastel pencils and watercolour (more recent) lockdown has been the turning point I needed in my life to go further with my art and I would like to learn more about acrylics. When I found theartsherpa and joined her YT pages, it turned out to be an amazing move for me as I have learned so much and found a really nice, friendly and helpful community. Myself and my husband ceejaythedragon both watch and listen every night, we both love Cinnamon and John and really appreciate you both and mods for all you do and we are looking forward to learning more :) :)

Watching the Everything a Beginner Needs to Know and nobody tells you videos, as I will be doing a 100 day challenge starting tomorrow. My challenge will be to master painting brush strokes and techniques over the 100 days. I have only been painting a short time, and figure I need to get some basic knowledge before starting with the first brush stroke tomorrow. I will be posting my daily attempts in the quilt group where we are going to do the challenge. I will post here as well, but not as often I think. So far I love the beginner videos, and have learned a lot already.
