I just started painting in November of 2021 after my father-in-law passed. It was a way coping at the time. What I have found is I absolutely LOVE painting. Art Sherpa has helped me a lot in the last couple of months during this period of learning! Thank you!

I did a space galaxy background  and I have painted a rough tatdis on paper cut it out and tried it on different positions  on the back ground in the photos I have put up

This is the first painting I have  done in acrylic paint on canvas after watching the videos on painting  with acrylic l have always wanted to paint and after watching your lessons and a paint set my daughter got me It was great still got alot to learn but very happy  only start to painting 🖼 😀🎨

Watching the Everything a Beginner Needs to Know and nobody tells you videos, as I will be doing a 100 day challenge starting tomorrow.  My challenge will be to master painting brush strokes and techniques over the 100 days.  I have only been painting a short time, and figure I need to get some basic knowledge before starting with the first brush stroke tomorrow.  I will be posting my daily attempts in the quilt group where we are going to do the challenge.  I will post here as well, but not as often I think.  So far I love the beginner videos, and have learned a lot already.

Hi, I am a 44yo Buffalo, NY housewife and mom. I've been painting all my life, my favorite medium is acrylic paint! The past couple years I've picked up the paintbrush again after a long absence and I am loving how therapeutic painting is... and when doing commissions, I love how much joy I bring to customers, it makes me so happy.

I found Cinnamon's YT channel last year and I have been smitten with her art and teaching! Love learning from her, much like I loved learning from Bob Ross as a child!

I fell in love with painting after being invited to a Paint Night event with friends. I had a blast. I went to a second Paint Night without any friends, and I still had a blast. I was hooked. I went out and bought some art stuff and followed an Art Sherpa tutorial from YouTube, and the rest is history. At 50 I became a painter. All my other hobbies, except feeding my hubby, have been pushed to the side for the last couple years. And lets be honest, if the hubby didn't seek me out to beg for sustenance, he would be forgotten about too. lol
I am now about to turn 53. I am still a very rank beginner at painting, but I have learned to only compare myself with myself. I get better and learn more with every painting. Painting has healed some things that no other art form has for me. And I love to share my joy in painting with anyone who wants to.
