Acrylic paint I will be using heavy body acrylic paint in professional grade in this lesson. I do use this type of paint because it does make my painting experience more enjoyable for me. Please let me assure you you can use other acrylic paints. We will be thinning the paint down in many areas to use like watercolor so pick a good product with a lot of pigment. You will want decent coverage wet or dry. If you use Craft Paint Deco is my personal recommendation. In Acrylic I like Golden Artists Colors, Sennelier, Holbein, Artist Loft Level 3, M. Graham and Pebeo. ***Burnt Sienna: PBr 7 ***Cadmium Yellow Medium : PY 35 ***Cadmium Red medium : PR 108 ***Phthalo Green Blue shade : PG 7 - ***Phthalo Blue Green shade :PB 15:3 ***Dioxazine Purple: PV 23 - ***Quinacridone Magenta (fuschia) : PR 122 ***Titanium white: PW 6 ***Mars black: PBk 11 Qor Watercolors Cadmium Yellow Primrose, Nickel Azo Yellow, Transparent Pyrrole Orange, Pyrrole Red Medium, Quinacridone Magenta, Dioxazine Purple, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue (Green Shade), Sap Green, Payne’s Gray, Transparent Brown Oxide, Burnt Umber (Natural) I highly suggest you use this swatch card to help you match your watercolors to the closest match in this that I'm using. If you want to go out and buy this set I highly recommended I've loved it it's been one of my favorites. I do recognize that the material list for Life Book can be expensive and that after 20/20 we may all be on a budget. To that end my suggestion is to use these watches find the closest color that you have and use those in the lesson.

Brushes for Acrylic and Watercolor Acrylic brushes should be firm and have Good Spring - I will say the name brands of the brushes I am using during the video. I however don't want to convey the feeling that you have to have those exact tools. Also I have my own line of brushes and I don't want you to feel that my bias would unfairly influence you. I can tell you that I use things that perform well. I will always tell you what they are and if you think that warrants a trip to the art store I think that's wonderful. that said you may already have what you need. A good round brush with a Fine point A filbert A bright A round Blender A fine lining Brush Watercolor Brushes I like Escoda, Raphael and Silver Brush ( Black Velvet only from this company) ( I used a Jazper Stardust Brush ( Really an escoda watercolor Brush ) A good #8 Round A Wash or Quill for wetting out paper Chalk Pencil Watercolor Pencil Caran D'ache Brown Cretacolor Aqua pencil HB 9x12 140lb Watercolor paper - Block pad Fabriano White Cold Press Most important art material YOU. The most important tool in your art studio is you. The most valuable art material in your art studio is you. wonderful art supplies are terrific but the magic and a painting comes from you and your spirit. Not having a particular color or tool don't let that be an obstacle to you.

A note on Jazper Stardust. I know many of you will see this brush and rush out to his Instagram account so I have included him in my materials list. He hand makes these products we have many in my family and all have performed beautifully. He also hand makes paint which I have found to be high quality as well if you do go purchase one of his brushes please let him know I sent you. He doesn't pay me. I just advocate for him because I think what he does is wonderful. I think that it's just as important to have some Delight enjoy in your art studio as useful materials and tools.
