My first ever acrylic painting, and first in my debut series titled "Peaceful Paintings." "Lotus at Sunset" is on a white 8x10 inch primed canvas panel. The lotus flower, accompanying gems & embellishments, and fine line mandala work were painted free hand on a warm sunset, with smooth color blends and gradients in the background.🖌 Paint is matte acrylic, and has been varnished with a gloss finish sealant.
I must give many thanks to The Art Sherpa for teaching me the beginner techniques that I used in this work of art, especially blending the background! I look forward to getting more involved in this amazing community. I've learned so much already, and I can't wait to learn more!
