This is the first art class I have ever finished! I’m so grateful for all the techniques I learned along the way. Bonus: I’ve always wanted a Corgi, and now I have this one!
Loved mixing the beautiful colors. Loved painting the rocks and water. Terrible time painting that flower. Uggg. It’s like my petals are too skinny and there are too many of them. Looks more like floating fire than a flower. Lol. But at least I can paint fire!
This one just challenged me. Not a fan of the background with the stripes but… Loved doing the trees and the reflections. The dock needed some shading and tweaking. Finally feel confident about my grass! I added in some birds to enhance the top of the painting. Will definitely do this again with a solid background. Maybe add in those fireflies she talks about!
This was fun. I used a gloss gel to help the paints stay wet longer to achieve that blending. I loved the techniques used and I’m thrilled with my waterfall. I’m even proud of my rocks and the shading in the water. I really feel like I’m learning and making progress.
Clouds are my nemesis. I really enjoyed this painting though. I loved mixing all the colors. I think my measurements are getting better too.
I love peacock feathers so I was excited to do this one. It proved to be much more challenging than I expected. It’s not how I’d like it to be but I finally decided to walk away and let it dry. It’s ok. I’ll retry it one day.
I absolutely loved this one! I want to redo it and make the dragonflies with actual dragonfly colors.
This was a challenge for me. My flowers are wonky. My butterfly is off. And I couldn’t quite get the right measurements for the shadow. Plus I did not like the negative space left, so I took some liberty and filled it in. I’ll probably retry this one in the future.
My second painting. I did this one with my niece. Her birds were so much cuter than mine. I really struggled with those birds! Love the trees and moon though. I am proud of how those came out.
My first painting. I loved this one. It was fun and easy and made me feel like I could actually paint!
