Hey everyone, I’m Skyler, totally new around here and still getting paint on everything except the Pips NYT canvas . A few months ago, I picked up a cheap set of brushes just to kill time on weekends. I didn’t expect it to stick, but something about watching color spread across a blank space felt strangely calming. I started with random YouTube tutorials, but most of them went too fast or assumed I already knew what blending even was. Then I stumbled onto The Art Sherpa, and honestly, it clicked right away. I love how every painting feels like a conversation instead of a lecture, like someone’s walking beside you instead of ahead of you. My first attempt was the “Coffee Cup” painting, and while the steam looked more like a ghost at first, I’m kind of proud of it now. Joining this community is my way of learning properly, sharing progress, and connecting with others who get the same quiet excitement when colors finally mix right.
