Watching Cinnamon painting a mermaid yesterday inspired me to get practicing some gestures sketching. I found an old A6 sketchbook that I'd been looking for when I was clearing out my studio for visitors, so I thought; beaut! Saves me buying one to do that sketch a day thing. I do try and sketch anyway, but I think it's nice to have a book to record stuff you notice or get inspired by, and this small size is nice as a change to the larger stuff I do. I like working big and expressive, but sometimes sitting and nutting things out is good too.
