Come join our second Mother and Daughter in-person painting experience. It will be a creative time for all. It will be fun, fabulous and hysterical as well.

Join Cinnamon Cooney, The Art Sherpa and Featured Guest, Ginger Cook, in the lovely Pocono Mountains this Spring. We will be gathering in small groups where you will be up close and personal, painting and learning with Cinnamon and Ginger. Acrylic and Watercolor lessons will be created specially for this event, and you will be provided with everything you need to paint along and learn new skills. You only need to bring your creativity and smile!
We may also have a special guest artist as well, to be announced at a later date.
All Inclusive Ticket includes:
Single occupancy hotel accommodations: We will be staying 5 days and 4 nights at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort https://www.shawneeinn.com/ in beautiful Eastern Pennsylvania.
Note: If you live within a 20 to 30 minute drive to the location, so you would be traveling back and forth from home each day to the event, please write support@theartsherpa.com for pricing that would include the full reteat, without a hotel stay. Includes all classes, meals and supplies, but no hotel accomodations.
All Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks. We have curated some of the best places in and around the Shawnee. The final schedule isn't completed yet, but you can expect to share most meals with Cinnamon and Ginger. Stunt Hands and Tech Bear are always close by. Be ready to be spoiled and pampered.

By Air : Wilkes Barre Airport, Wilkes Barre, PA. A Team Member and transportation will be provided at designated times to take you to the Shawnee Inn. Once we have flight numbers for everyone, so we know when you land, we will have that information available. Once you have collected your luggage, go outside the airport to the flight pick up area. We will be there to transport you to the hotel. Our team members will stand out in the crowd.
By Vehicle : The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, 100 Shawnee Inn Drive, Shawnee on the Delaware, PA 18356. Please send an email to Linda@theartsherpa.org when you arrive at the Shawnee so that a team member can come greet you in the lobby and assist with check-in, which starts at 4 pm. We will be on the property by 9 am and you can leave your luggage in our event rooms if you would like to explore the grounds.

7 - 9 PM The "Painting In The Pocono's" Painting Retreat Open House at the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort. We’ll have plenty of time for everyone to meet and relax with some snacks and refreshments. You can unwind and spend some time getting to know Cinnamon & John and Ginger and Jon, the team, and each other before we hit the canvases tomorrow morning.

Each Day begins with Cinnamon and Ginger joining everyone for a Full Breakfast buffet in the River Room. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you can see that the atmosphere in The River Room is unpretentious, approachable, gracious, and fun. After your wonderful social start to the day, you will enjoy a morning painting session designed just for you by The Art Sherpa and Ginger Cook. Painting classes will be in watercolors and acrylics, all materials provided. Attendees will be divided into two groups. Classes will have sound and screen augmentation so you can easily see every brush stroke from every spot. The Art Sherpa and Ginger Cook will also be moving around the class to give you one on one help. You will have ample snacks and beverages during the painting sessions. There will also be breaks. Lunch will be provided buffet style in our private banquet room, or you may enjoy taking your meal outdoors in the appointed outdoor decks with stunning views of the property. You may get to meet John Cooney, also known as Stunt Hands, and also Jon Little, known as The Tec bear. Each day will be filled with all the Like You Do and YES and YES you could ever want. We may also have a guest artist to be announced at a later date. You will also have a little creative free time to finish your projects. Once our very full days of being creative are done, we will finish with a dinner buffet and gathering in the Banquet Room. Once again being joined by the Art Sherpa and Ginger Cook.

9:00 am Private Brunch in The Event Room.
Assortment of breakfast pastries, muffins, danish, seasonal fresh fruit platter, assorted yogurts with housemade granola, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, choice of French toast or pancakes, toast station with butter, jams, and jellies.
Brunch Entrée: TBA
10:30 am Time to get your luggage and check out of your room. If your flight doesn't leave immediately after, we will have a room set aside to gather for some fun and chat while we wait together. Feel free to bring your luggage with you.
Noon - Our airline's guests will be provided transportation to Wilkes-Barre Airport.

The Art Sherpa recommends travel and vacation insurance for your protection. These tickets can be rescheduled to another event but are non-refundable.. We appreciate your understanding that these events are being paid for ahead of time. Your supplies, room, meals, etc. are paid for many months before the event occurs, so refunding is not possible.
August 18, 2023 MEET AND GREET
1 - 3 pm EDT FREE Meet and Greet
The Art Sherpa will be having a FREE Meet & Greet this afternoon in the Kirkwood Room for community members who live in this area. We will be doing an ATC project as well as taking pictures and any of our attendees who wish to remain are very welcome to do so. To join us, come to the resort, up the stairs and go left to the Kirkwood room. There will be signs. We do ask that you come following any CDC or personal property health guidelines that may be in place. I hope we will be well past Covid, but just in case, do follow all health and safety guidlines that may be in place. Hope to see you there.
