16x20 Canvas; Liquitex Pro black Gesso & Dioxazine Purple; Liquitex basics Mars black, Pthalo Blue, Titanium White; Dale Rowney Gloss Medium for glazing; Golden Quinacridone Magenta.
Stonehenge tutorial from Painting with Jane with minor alterations. I did the 2-brush splatter and 2 differently sized brush handles as daubers for the background stars. I added the three painted stars. I also was more intentional with the white ribbon through the "energy fields" because the original looked to me more like auroras than Druid energy fields. I added the Diox Purple, too.
I struggled with the white undercoating for the energy fields until my mother gave me her stencil and tole painting brushes from the early '90s. These are awesome for clouds and mists!!! I've searched online for similar brushes and can't find them. There is no brand info on the handle or ferrel (I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly).
