We had a snow storm this weekend (35 cm with 100 km/h winds). This was my storm project. Icarus of Bay Bulls, done from a photo I took in the spring of 2012. It's a memorial statue to a crew lost at sea but I didn't realize that I knew some of the family members until after I posted the painting on Facebook. The rocks and shadow were the most challenging part of this. 9 x 11, acrylic
