Newfoundland is famous for its colourful houses, and we often will see the typical St. John's JellyBean Row houses depicted. But when you get out into more rural Newfoundland, houses are rarely attached and so I thought it appropriate to pay homage to all the bright, individual homes you see as you drive west of "Sin Jans". Often the clusters have sprouted as family members grew up and the property was subdivided. And our land is certainly not known for being level. I decided to call it Gaudy Hamlet instead of Gaudy Outport as there is no ocean, and such communities exist inland as well as on our shore. Completed in February of 2016
I look forward to seeing this story unfold through your work.
Oh wow. I love these houses! :) Beautiful work!
