Thank you, Alan. It was an interesting, actually poetic, process... to look at each element from the original design, and make a decision. It unfolded. It feels like a poem.

Donna, I think the painting is brilliant. It personifies exactly what you were saying you were feeling at that moment. Though I am so sorry to hear that you ever felt this way.

@cinnamon-cooney , yesterday I painted the sweet little Snowman Catching Snow design from your terrific Youtube video. Today I was going to paint another as a gift for someone at Christmas, but I was just feeling so sad about all of the judging, misunderstanding, violence, and meanness in our country right now. I'd been watching the Art Bullies quest and you kept saying to take what is in your heart and put it in your art.... and so that's what I did. And this is my snowman today.  I hope you don't mind seeing him sad like this. It just happened. I wasn't really sure about copying art as instruction, but now I am sold - because I am completely surprised at how I was able to take my heart right out of my chest and paint it into this very very sad snowman. It felt good - like telling the truth.
